The West Coast Funk & Soul Dance Series is a collection of 6 online film events that pay homage to the funk soul dance styles from the West Coast through the lens of the people who witnessed, lived and contributed to the history of the dance.

West Coast Funk n Soul Series live events, uncovering and celebrating the history of west coast funk, soul, and Hip-Hop art forms by the people who contributed and lived it.   • Damita Jo Freeman, Thelma Davis, Carole Creekmore, Ana Sanchez, Queen Boogaloo, and Medusa
  • Women of Funk n’ Soul Dance featuring the Soul Train alumni dancers, legends of TV and film, and local heroines of street dance.

West Coast Funk n Soul Professional Dance Training Program

When: Wednesday nights 6-8 pm starting Oct. 4-Dec 16, 23 at Chuco’s Justice Center

What: West Coast Funk n Soul Series is a series illuminating contributions of west coast artists to the funk, soul, and Hip-Hop culture of art, dance.

Program: West Coast Funk n Soul Professional Dance Training Program is a cultural dance training program where legendary west coast funk n soul dancers will tell share their collective histories through personal stories and help mentor youth and young adults in the styles of Strutting, Locking, Popping, Poplocking, and Waacking. This program is curated by Zulu Gremlin for No Easy Props Org.

Week 9-10 Session 5: Tickalott/Boogie Frantick
Week 11: Boogie Frantick 

Each instructor will teach history, cultural connection and understanding of the dance including music, art, fashion inclusion.
